The Harlequins Foundation Pilots Premiership Rugby National Citizens Services

The Harlequins Foundation pilots Premierships Rugby National Citizen Services.

This October The Harlequins Foundation will continue to support young people to increase their confidence and develop essential skills for work and life by delivering the first programme of Premierships Rugby’s pilot of the National Citizen Service (NCS).

NCS is a once in a lifetime programme that gives young people the opportunity to experience the outdoors and develop a range of new skills before designing and delivering their own social action project to make their mark and have a positive impact in their local community.

The programme, that commences a week today, will see 15 young people from across The Harlequins Foundation take part in what is set to be a really exciting programme. The programme kicks off with a four day outward bound residential trip to South Wales.

Andy Carpenter (Foundation Manager) said:

“NCS represents a fantastic opportunity for The Harlequins Foundation to continue to broaden the scope of our work while continuing to support young people to develop essential skills relevant to the 21st century. The programme looks set to be an exciting couple of weeks starting with the outward-bound residential trip to South Wales.”
