Following last season’s successful pilot, The Digital Hub has returned to Twickenham Stoop as The Harlequins Foundation continue to support young people to develop technical and vocational skills for the 21st century.

Delivered in partnership with Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust (OHCAT) and using cutting edge technology, including, Virtual Reality (VR) Augmented Reality (AR) and Green Screens, young people will learn to use technological solutions to real life problems.

This year young people will produce a series of major projects as the Digital Hub expands is offer. This academic year has started with young people working on a digital tour of the Twickenham Stoop Stadium and supporting the Foundation’s men’s health campaign in partnership with Movember, to stop men dying too young.

Each project will last 10 of the 12 weeks of term and culminate in the completion of an exciting and innovative project.

Karen Cunningham – OHCAT Lead Project Manager said: We are really excited to be working with Harlequins Foundation again this year and for our students to be taking part in some really interesting and innovative projects. Bringing our students to the Media centre at the Stoop offers them a variety of new experiences and opportunities outside of their regular curriculum and allows them to showcase their digital and creative skills to the wider community.

Joseph – a student from Orchard Hill College said: It was my first time filming here and I really enjoyed it. The best bit was seeing the Members Lounge with all of the special shirts and trophies.
