Switch Camps Announcement

BE A GAME CHANGER THIS YEAR BY ATTENDING ONE OF THE FULL RANGE OF CAMPS FOR GIRLS AGED 8-15

Following the hugely successful set of Easter camps held earlier this year at a range of Harlequins affiliate clubs across London and the South East, the Harlequins Foundation is excited to announce our full-range of rugby camps over the next 12 months, including this summer, the October half term, the following February half-term and Easter 2020.

Held at a range of locations including Chobham RFC, Horsham RFC, Old Reigation RFC, Sutton and Epsom RFC and Warlingham RFC, the camps will cater to girls regardless of their experience or abilities, whether they are picking up a rugby ball for the very first time or looking to take their game to the next level.

Camps will run over the course of two days, either between 09:30-15:30 for the standard package (£50 per child) or, should you require you can purchase the new Rush hour Drop-off option, allowing parents to drop their children off at the earlier time of 08:00 and collect at 17:00 (£80 per child). This additional time would be filled by one-on-one goal-setting and personal development with Harlequins Foundation Coaches, all of whom are RFU Level 2 accredited and Enhanced DBS-checked.

Every participant will have the chance to meet a member of the Harlequins Ladies squad on the second day of each camp, who will also help to deliver some of the sessions.

All those attending the camps will also receive a complimentary Harlequins gift and be in with a chance of receiving further prizes.

Harlequins Foundation Participation Manager Matt Williams said: “We’re extremely excited to announce the full range of Harlequins Girls Rugby Camps for next season. Together with Harlequins Ladies, we’ll be visiting a number of local community rugby clubs throughout London and the South East looking to encourage more young girls into the sport and support them on their rugby journeys.

“At each of our camps we’ll be joined by special guest coaches from the Harlequins Ladies squad who will be putting the girls through their paces as they get to learn from the best in the game. Not only that but we’ll give the girls a chance to experience a day-in-the-life of a Harlequins player with leadership, teamwork and goal-setting workshops.

“The new Rush hour Drop-off option also adds greater value for participants, who can make the most of extra, more bespoke sessions with our coaches, ensuring that they get the most out of their rugby and be the best that they can be.”

Harlequins Ladies and Scotland Number Eight Jade Konkel added: “I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the delivery of camps during the Easter holidays, and I cannot wait to be involved again over the next year.”
