Antarctic Fire Angels back The Harlequins Foundation

The Antarctic Fire Angels are a group of female firefighters from London & South Wales who in 2023 will set out to traverse the continent of Antarctica, via the South Pole.

Their journey covers a 1900km route never before completed by an all female group, where they will face temperatures as low as -50’c and 60mph winds.

They will use muscle power alone to ski coast-to-coast pulling 85kg supply sleds.

Their aims are to:

  • Inspire women and girls to fulfill their ambitions
  • Empower future generations to achieve their own Antarctic challenge
  • Raise awareness of mental health among firefighters

Rebecca Rowe, one of the team taking part in this epic challenge, is a former Harlequin herself, and is delighted to be supporting The Harlequins Foundation.

Rebecca said: “We are excited to be working with Harlequins Foundation as one of our charities, their values align with our own; empowering and inspiring women and girls and raising awareness of mental health issues.

“We look forward to a great partnership over the next few years. “
