Last week, our coaching team were delighted to be back out delivering sessions for the first time since March through our Summer Sport Week programme, funded by the City Bridge Trust and the London Community Response Fund.\u00a0<\/p>

The team headed out to Richmond-upon-Thames School in Twickenham and Reach Academy in Feltham to deliver a range of sport and activity sessions to young people, giving them their first proper opportunity to get outside and be active after lockdown.\u00a0<\/p>

Our sports and activities sessions, which included a live-streamed fitness class from The Stoop, were combined with key elements of our newly developed Skills Builder<\/a> toolkit, teaching young people on the programme how best to develop mental resilience using key skills such as “Staying Positive” and “Aiming High”.\u00a0<\/p>

Matthew Williams, Inclusion Manager for The Harlequins Foundation, said: “The team have been delighted to be back out delivering programmes again, giving young people the opportunity to get active and catch up with their friends in a safe and inclusive environment.\u00a0<\/p>

“I want to say a big thank you to all of the young people that attended this first Summer Sport Week.\u00a0<\/p>

“Without their patience, understanding and commitment, in unusual circumstances, the week would not have been such a successful one!<\/p>
