We hope you\u2019re well during this unprecedented time. We\u2019re inviting you, your family and friends to take part in The 2.6 Challenge from Sunday 26 April to help to save the UK\u2019s charities.<\/p>\n

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of a huge amount of fundraising income.<\/p>\n

This income is what helps us provide services to those most in need, and now more than ever we are witnessing a surge in people needing our support.<\/p>\n

In response, the organisers of the biggest mass-participation sports events across the country have come together to create a new campaign to raise vital funds to help to save the UK\u2019s charities.<\/p>\n

What is it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2.6 Challenge will launch on Sunday 26 April \u2013 what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon, the world\u2019s biggest one-day annual fundraising event.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re asking you to take part in an activity of your choice based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise or donate to support The Harlequins Foundation via twopointsixchallenge.co.uk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

People of all ages are taking on The 2.6 Challenge with a host of activities \u2013 from walking, running or cycling 2.6 miles, juggling for 2.6 minutes, to holding online workouts with 26 friends. The ideas and options are endless!<\/p>\n

You can even link your fundraising page to your Strava account here<\/a> (you can register for free).<\/p>\n

The only requirement is that you must follow Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing. Most people are taking part from Sunday 26 April but you can do your activity whenever is most convenient for you.<\/p>\n

What you need to do:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Dream up your 2.6 challenge \u2013 if you need help there are lots of ideas here<\/a><\/li>\n
2. Head to twopointsixchallenge.co.uk<\/a>\u00a0to donate \u00a326 \u2013 or whatever you can afford \u00ad\u2013 to The Harlequins Foundation or to set up a fundraising page<\/li>\n
3. Ask all your friends and family to sponsor you and challenge them to do their own 2.6 Challenge<\/li>\n
4. Complete your challenge<\/li>\n
5. Share a photo or video of your challenge on social media with #TwoPointSixChallenge #COYQ<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
